Rieslings To Be Cheerful Part One – 20th May 2026

Apologies to Ian Drury but I couldn’t resist that title, partly because it sounds great and partly because awesome Riesling makes you very, very cheerful. Riesling is seen as the greatest white wine grape if not the greatest wine producing grape full-stop. The reason for this is its versatility, it can produce wines which vary from piercingly dry, all the way up to hedonistically sweet. It is planted across the globe and is renowned for its ability to produce wines which can age for many years.
We are delighted to be joined by a true champion of Riesling, and one of my favourite wine trade people, the ebullient and entertaining Johnny Bingham.
