DESCRIPTION:Our most popular tastings\, so we had to bring them back! And\, yes\, they are always different wines from previous Spot the Difference tastings so you can come to as many as you like! \nI often hear the refrain “Well I wouldn’t know the difference between expensive wine and everyday wine.” I’ve never believed this to be true\, I think we all have an inbuilt ability to see quality but I thought maybe it merited a vinous experiment. So this tasting will be a simple comparison between two wines in the same style but at very different price points. The trick to ensuring that this actually feels somewhat scientific is that it will be a blind tasting. \n5 pairs of wines\, each pair tasted side by side with a little background info on both from me but no indication as to which is the pricey one and which is the midweek value*. Ten terrific wines\, one superb evening. \n*My idea of midweek value wines is pretty decent gear at a sensible price and not a bottle of 19 Crimes\, as such it’s going to be all about flavour.
